Construction hours for real stone paint in summer can be properly arranged to shorten the overall project duration. Manufacturers suggest starting work early, taking a long midday break, and finishing early in the evening. This prevents heatstroke among workers and avoids uneven film formation caused by extreme heat.
According to spraying requirements, clean water can be used to adjust the viscosity of real stone paint, added gradually in small amounts — never too much at once. This step should be handled by experienced workers. In hot weather, a slightly increased amount of water can be added to prevent overly fast drying. Real stone paint must be stored in a cool place to avoid drying inside the packaging bucket.
Before each spraying session, a test spray should be conducted on a sample board to adjust the spray pattern and confirm color consistency before formal application. During the initial stage, inexperienced workers should practice on rear or inconspicuous areas before spraying the main facade. Before applying the topcoat, it is critical to ensure the real stone paint layer is completely dry, as this determines construction quality. To minimize color difference, all required materials should be ordered in one batch.
During construction, doors, windows and other non-construction areas must be covered and protected. Construction strictly from bottom to top is prohibited to avoid color contamination. Workers removing scaffolding must not damage or step on the wall surface.
For new walls, check for cracks, holes and roughness. Repair and level with fine cement mortar as needed; overly rough surfaces will drastically increase paint consumption. After repair, confirm the wall is fully dry. Before painting, use a moisture meter to verify — a properly dried wall shows uniform grayish-white color with pH value not exceeding 10. Concrete walls in summer generally require curing for more than one month, longer in winter.
For old walls, inspect for mold and moss. If present, scrub with a wire brush, clean with 10% bleaching powder solution, and rinse thoroughly with high-pressure water until no alkali efflorescence remains. Remove damaged paint and loose attachments; grease can be cleaned with detergent solution. Repair cracks and uneven areas with fine cement mortar, and fine defects with exterior wall putty. Cure as required until pH is below 10 and moisture content is below 8%.
