Guangdong Household Building Materials Chamber of Commerce Visits Runli New Materials to Inspect and Experience Innovative Achievements of Mosquito-Repellent Coatings

On August 25, 2025, a delegation from the Guangdong Household Building Materials Chamber of Commerce visited Guangdong Runli New Material Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Runli New Materials”). The delegation experienced on site the mosquito-repellent coating jointly developed by the company and the Guangdong Institute of Microbiology, and gained an in-depth understanding of its technical principles and application prospects. This exchange further strengthened ties between the chamber of commerce and its member enterprises, and also brought widespread industry attention to Runli New Materials’ functional coating products.

Accompanied by relevant principals of Runli New Materials, the chamber representatives first visited the company’s product exhibition area and learned in detail about Runli’s development history, corporate strength and honorary qualifications. Afterwards, the delegates focused on inspecting the mosquito-repellent coating test chamber and witnessed an intuitive and interesting comparative experiment on site: ordinary coating and Runli mosquito-repellent coating were applied on separate sides of the test chamber. The results showed that mosquitoes clearly tended to gather on the side with ordinary coating, while few mosquitoes stayed on the side with mosquito-repellent coating. This vivid contrast drew continuous admiration from the guests present.

According to technical staff, Runli mosquito-repellent coating has obtained a national invention patent. Its core technology lies in using pure plant extracts as mosquito-repellent ingredients, which physically interfere with the olfactory system of mosquitoes to achieve a long-lasting mosquito-repellent effect.
